Tasted at Corney & Barrow’s Clos de Tart tasting. The greatest wine from this monopole since 1141? Maybe! A limpid ruby/purple colour. The nose has a brooding intensity to it, closing up shop after wowing everyone in its infancy. Dark cherry, boysenberry, raspberry, a touch of thyme and wild bramble bushes. The palate is medium-bodied, beautifully balanced with silky smooth tannins. Wild strawberry, touch of raspberry and redcurrant with vibrant acidity, a real sense of tension. Great length, a wine suffused with passion. Purrs with panache.
