The 2017 Méo-Camuzet Richebourg is a superb bottle in the making. The bouquet is pure, refined and impressively complex out of the blocks, delivering a mix of plums, red and black cherries, Vosne spice tones, chocolate, a lovely base of soil, a hint of mustard seed and cedary new oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied, focused and utterly refined in personality, with a sappy core, lovely soil signature, fine-grained tannins and a very, very long, tangy and complex finish. Great juice.
