Good full red. Mesmerizingly complex and deep on the nose, offering intensely perfumed sour red cherry, strawberry, violet, rose petal, marzipan and tar aromas enlivened by a lovely mintiness. Suave and seamless on entry, displaying laser-like precision to the sour red cherry, raspberry and mineral flavors. Builds in creaminess and richness on the very long, gripping, vibrant finish, which features a lingering peppery nuance. An absolutely beautiful multilayered wine of uncommon grace and complexity that also brings Musigny to mind. For my money, this is the best Le Rocche del Falletto ever, though Giacosa prefers the '04.
