| The 2016 Zinfandel Fredericks Vineyard hails from a site planted in 1937 on the Sonoma County side of Mt Vedeer at about 900 feet in elevation. Bursting with scents of cassis, ripe plums and cherry preserve, it's full-bodied, plush and lavish, with a rich, deep core of fleshy fruit that largely conceals its supple tannins, followed by a long, powerful finish. With a high pH and high total acidity, it remains in balance, but it's one of the broadest, most dramatic of Turley's Zinfandels, and it will likely shine in its youth. |
